EOIC
This is the simplist method to set valves, check lash, or set lash.
This method allows you to do one side of the engine at a time, thus keeping
the other valve cover on to minimize dirt or other contamination.
EO means Exhaust Open.
When the Exhaust valve just begins to Open - set the intake valve.
IC means Intake Closes
When the Intake valve just Closes - set the exhaust valve.
You'll find as you begin on #1 cylinder that you'll simply skip over the next cylinders
nearest valve and resume checking. When you've gone down one side - you'll find that #2
is ready to begin. All you have to do is remember four letters EOIC.
E-O, I see.
