WE MAKE SERIOUS PONTIAC HORSEPOWER
AND WE KNOW MORE ABOUT BUILDING STOCK PONTIAC ENGINES THAN ANYONE.
N.H.R.A. record holder
John and wife Marka Gallina's 1989 Anniversary T/A. It runs in Stock eliminator, class D/FIA
which is D/fuel injected with automatic transmission. These are new classes for 2003.
NHRA decided after much thought to give the fuel injected cars their own class,
separate from the older carburated cars. Marka pilots the car and drove it to the record
in Tucson, Arizona at the NHRA division seven race in March, 2003. Everyone knows we
don't talk about the corporate, (re small block chevy,) powered cars, this is the last
year for the Grand National Buick V-6, 231 cubic inches in a Pontiac. It uses a single turbo, which is what
we're into. Boost is a wonderful thing, right? We think so. Husband John runs a Super Stock GNX
that's currently the fastest NHRA Super Stocker in the world. He'll tell us if we're
wrong, but as of the last time I asked his ET was 7.91 at 190+ mph.
Marka's record for the '89 - 3390 lb. car? 10.83 at 121.25 mph. !
She launches the car at approx 4000 rpm with 22 pounds of boost.
These folks need a web site of their own for all of the Buiick fans out there
