WE MAKE SERIOUS PONTIAC HORSEPOWER

AND WE KNOW MORE ABOUT BUILDING STOCK PONTIAC ENGINES THAN ANYONE.

BUILT IN 2003, THIS ENGINE IS STILL RUNNING STRONG TODAY!

Our second engine this week belongs to Al Kiriluk. Al has a killer '70 GTO drop top

that he's having built from the frame up by Great Lakes Motorworks in Michigan.

A show car that will see occasional street fun.

Al wanted everything polished. Check out those polished Edelbrock heads.

Intake, timing cover and a Meziere electric water pump add to the polished

items on this King Street 455. I had to talk him out of the chrome oil pan

as they create an intense heat that thins the oil too much. Instead we powder coated

the oil pan silver.

We will be fitting a complete March pulley system before we ship this baby.

We'll put up a picture with the March pulleys when we're done. (Done! click here)

This Mighty Demon 850 is a down leg booster. Rubbo's was a Annular 850.

Al isn't going drag racing but he had to have one of our King Street 455's.

So I profiled the cam to make killer torque and be very streetable.

Even with less horsepower, the all-important torque is just unbelievable. Well, Believe it. It's what I can do for you.

Dyno sheets speak for themselves.

I NOW HAVE COMBINATIONS THAT HAVE MADE 600 LBS. FT. AT 3000 RPM. NICE

87 octane folks. 604 lbs. ft. at 4000 rpm.

Doesn't make anymore power on 93 octane, or 114 octane.

No, it's designed for 87 octane and that's what's so cool about

our King Street combintions.

Smooth curves. Fuel curve (green line at bottom) is nice too.
